ECONOMIC EXPERT WITNESS: He has been amply retained in civil litigation as an economic expert providing testimony, on both the State and Federal level, on lost wages, and profits in cases involving personal injury, wrongful death, discrimination and corporate lawsuits.
UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR: Dr. Velez frequently writes for scholarly publications and attends professional meetings both here and abroad. He has taught a variety of economics courses. He has taught for over forty years in the United States, as various other countries: Spain, Colombia, Austria, Mexico, and Romania. His specialties in Economics have been macroeconomics, microeconomics, international economics, and labor economics. He has also taught Financial Administration and Investment.
PUBLIC SPEAKER: He is a highly sought after communicator and has frequently given talks to professional and business groups, as well as for different kind of media such as television and radio.

Study Tour of cities, industries, historical sites, and universities in South
Korea by the Center for South East Asian Studies, University of
Hawaii. Summer 2005.
Fulbright-Hays Thailand-Burma (Myanmar) Fellow. Competitively
selected for 5-week Study Tour of these 2 South East Asian countries
visiting such cities as Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Yangon, and Mandalay.

for South East Asian Studies, University of Hawaii. Summer 2002.
Fulbright Teaching Award in Colombia, Fall 1999. Taught and provided
curricular support in the area of forensic economics and business law for
the Law School of the University of the Sabana, Bogotá, Colombia, South
America.

Tour of Mainland China including such cities as Shanghai, Nanjing, Hefei,
Xi’an, Beijing and Hong Kong. Summer 1995.
